On avoiding first judgments.

I came off kind of harsh in my people-watching yesterday, so I want to note that, as the woman whose call I overheard yesterday has continued to have loud and dramatic phone calls all day, she seems sincerely regretful over her DUI and extremely determined to turn her life around, and she is working hard to do that, which is pretty damn cool.

Another note.  Dramatic Phone Call lady is much more friendly and personable when not on the phone, and is in fact a huge MMO geek, which is additionally awesome.  Additionally, some generous soul just loaned me a set of earbuds when I was playing a youtube video on low volume (I am assuming charitably that they were being generous, as they sounded rather snarky.  Either way, earbuds!  Music and videos!  Huzzah!)

In other news, I have written nearly 1500 words of The Hellion Prince today, though mostly from chapters 14-15, instead of 13.

And now there is an IV in my left wrist.

That was much less traumatic than I expected.  The worst was in my head.  I can even type with both hands already if I am careful about flexing my hand.
