... I would've just won $18,000 playing poker.

Of course, if I was playing with real money, I wouldn't have had nearly so much to start with... and given that I lost $2000 before I started winning...

...Okay, so if I was playing with real money, I would have won about $600.

Less brilliant.

Only 292 words in my attempt at 1,000 in an hour today... but you know, that's still pretty good.  I'm going to try again at 4 PM, and once more later in the evening; and even at some disastrous minimum I'll be well above the 550 words per day I require of myself.

Take two.

1,415 words in 80 minutes.  Why is it easier to write 1000+ words in 60 minutes than it is to write 550 in 24 hours?
