Chapter Twelve is up!

This chapter is the last in the first third of the book, and possibly my favorite -- but because it's my darling, I may be guilty of excesses and indulgences I should not be permitted in it.  If so, please let me know.

The Interlude between Part I and Part II will be up sometime today or tomorrow -- just a couple of pages of Chrysinthe and Sabric talking that it made no sense for Damarhis to overhear, but that I wanted very badly to share with the audience.  Hopefully they're relevant.

Chapter Twelve Special Edition Soundtrack.

So, mostly as a joke, I started assembling a short playlist of the music I listened to while writing the masquerade ball in Chapter Twelve.  Mostly, it was mood music, and all of the music videos contain either people in masks or people in vaguely appropriate period clothing, or both.  But as I assembled this list, I realized that if I put it in a specific order, and I squinted and analyzed lyrics out of context in unorthodox ways, it actually fits pretty well as a soundtrack to the chapter's events.
