May. 20th, 2011 09:51 pmNext weekend, for my birthday, I get to go down to Chicago and see my sister
celebros , one of my top five favorite people in the world, as she graduates from college. This is a fantastic present. I sometimes feel like I ought to be jealous of my sister, since she is younger than me but more prolific in her writing, more academically successful, harder-workling and better-employed, and is now earning her college degree before I have. (Sort of -- I earned my degree, but have yet to pay for it, and therefore am not officially a graduate).
I can't be jealous, though. Even though she's five years younger than me, I have thought of her as my big sister for the past few years in most ways. In all the ways that I am still her big brother, though, I am nothing but immensely proud and overjoyed at how awesome she is.
Congratulations, sister mine. I can't wait to see you.
That is all I have to blog about today.
