Accountability.

Goals for today:

1) Vacuum the living room and the hall. 
2) Empty the catbox.  Done!  At 11:30 and without any pause for coffee or shooting Rebel scum!
3) Make oatmeal scones with orange marmalade and raspberry preserves.  I have never made scones before, but the sandwich I had for breakfast convinced me that this is a winning combination.
4) Blog more about the Lightning Age III LARP.  If people care about this one.  Do people care about this one?
4a) Thomas, you are not people.
4b) Just kidding, dammit.  You're my brother, of course you are a person and you count.  But in this case I do mean "other people."
5) Make dinner on my own, Like A Grown Up.  I do most of the cooking, actually, but Megan is eating with co-workers tonight so I am all bachelor-y.  Odds are I will either have a dinner of scones or con someone into going to BW3's with me. (This is what happened).
6) Write the remaining 3-4 scenes of Ordinary Morality, a short AU caper story in the Mina de Malfois universe starring PrinceC & Josh.
7) Finish Chapter 23 of The Hellion Prince.  I am half a scene away from this goal.  But it's a Hell of a scene.  Done @ 1:45. Definitely in need of a beta, though, before it's post-ready. Still looking for willing editors!
8) Write an RP application for Bigwig from Watership Down.  thlayli was available as a journal name, how could I not do this?
9) Write an RP post for notdogmatic (Kaworu Nagisa from NGE) for the current plot in thoughtformed . 
10) Write RP comment threads for growinmushrooms (Tamaki from Ouran Host Club) and tenbeefsteaks (Chie from Persona 4); also for thoughtformed .  8-10 All done late Friday or before Noon Saturday.

So.  That's a day in the life, for anyone who's interested.

You have absolutely no idea how much more likely I am to doing these things now that I have publicly blogged about all of them.

Okay.  Between now and noon:  more caffeine, brief videogame break, and items 1 & 2 on the list.

Documentation.

Last night, I dreamed I was Commander Shepard from Mass Effect.  I also, simultaneously to that, dreamed I was back at Concordia studying Greek, Philosophy, and Literature (which are actually probably the first three departments I would be signing up for classes in if I did go back).

Being Commander Shepard does not leave you much time to study.

So on the one hand, I was involved in a dangerous game of cat and mouse on an abandoned space yacht.

On the other, I was late for class, working on essays, and got up and walked out of a lecture hall when one of my professors publicly humiliated a student.

Pretty sure that last one was a Paragon interrupt; the Renegade one would have been shouting him down in the middle of class, which seemed inappropriate.

The perils of pants.

Is there some way to comprehensively search my old LJ or DW entries for a keyword without relying on tags or paging through each post?  I am having an amusing discussion of pants on Twitter, and I'd like to link to an old post I made about the perils of flat-fronted slacks, but I have no idea WHEN I made this post (between 2005 and 2010 is as much as I can close the window).
