Another day, another job application.
Jan. 19th, 2010 01:07 pmJob-hunting has been unproductive so far this month, despite upwards of two dozen applications submitted, two or three temp agencies signed up for, and the daily browsing of craigslist. The classifieds and JobDig papers don't have much either - it seems like job opportunities in Fargo are primarily communicated by word-of-mouth or sign in the storefront window... or some other mysterious method I don't have access too. Then, too, there's the frustrating fact that so-called entry level positions are nothing of the sort - I have two years plus some experience with journalism, three years as an administrative assistant, and I am apparently underqualified for anything at entry level in those areas.
I need a full-time job at ten dollars an hour, or, at any rate, some form of work that will pay me $300+ a week after taxes. And I'm running out of ideas for where to look.
