blah blah blah...
Jan. 16th, 2011 02:18 pmAfter my last post yesterday, I got another 390 words in on what I think I may as well just call The Knight of the Star, Part II. Hopefully in another week or so I'll have Sir Dinadan's tale completed so that I can post it here in its entirety.
I slept in today, and have gaming this afternoon, so it will be evening before I can set aside the time necessary to hammer out my words for the day, but I am completely confident of my ability to do so. And endlessly glad that I'm finally, after a month and a half off, back to work on The Hellion Prince. My all-encompassing fixation with Arthuriana this last month has been equal parts delightful and alarming to me.
Finally, I fell off the no-politics wagon yesterday, watching a five-minute clip of the Daily Show and reading an article quoting John McCain's recent refusal to slander or condemn Obama. But both of these things cheered me and lowered my blood pressure, so that's good. I'm so used to being tuned into the news cycle that I am now a bit worried about what I might be missing, but I'm going to soldier on for a full seven days, at least, and try to be more temperate for a little while when I ease back in. Not that I won't be passionately outspoken as an advocate of what I believe in, but I will try once again to extend people who disagree with me the benefit of the doubt and the civility with which I would prefer to have these discussions. And if I fail, and someone attempts to tone argument me, I will destroy them as viciously as possible.
So that's all right.
