Recipe for Walt Whitman Burgers.

Mix together:
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 white onion, finely minced
4 cloves garlic, finely minced
6 strips bacon, finely minced
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. breadcrumbs
1 Tbsp. parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp. ketchup
1 Tbsp. A-1 steak sauce
2 tsp. smoky horseradish
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Divide into 4-6 patties. Fry on medium high skillet in olive oil and worcestershire sauce until done to your satisfaction. Best served on whole wheat buns with colby jack cheese, baby spinach, fresh-sliced roma tomato, ketchup, and bacon ranch dressing.
