You know, I really enjoyed the song "The Suffering" by Coheed & Cambria until I read their wikipedia entry. See, the lyrics of all their songs are telling the same story as the lead singer's series of sci-fi graphic novels. That sounded like it could be really cool, so I surfed wiki for the general plot and outline of the story... and now I can't listen to the song without remembering how mind-breakingly bad it sounded.

Damn.

Or the cover. I don't know the context. I don't want to know the context! I'm calling it Jesus Does The Hulk.

That's why I don't research bands anymore, actually. When I like music, I refuse to learn about the artist, because I've ended up not being able to enjoy some really great tunes because the artist once admitted to liking Kenny G or something.

Maybe I'm just too judgemental, but I really can't separate it either. Once someone's a moron, it almost entirely discredits everything they've done in my book.
