matt_doyleWriting progress today was, of all things, 250 words on The Mutilation of the Hermai, my story about Plato and Xenophon: Boy Detectives set in Classical Athens and involving the political woes of Alcibiades, metaphysical conundrums, and rather a lot of penises. Haven't touched it since March or April, due to the Problem of Xanthippe and my determination to write a strong outspoken woman in period Greek culture, but that problem was solved at the point where I was blocked by the sudden interjection of Alcibiades -- which I mention because it may amuse those of you who have studied Plato's Symposium.
Not too much else to report, except that I am properly remembering my Dreamwidth cross-posting, and hopefully by mentioning that fact in every post I make I will keep remembering to do it.
Yesterday's brush with Awesome Local Indie Films has me wanting to start working on a screenplay for my Evolving Zombie Nightmare notion, but I have enough projects right now and no screenwriting experience, so it will probably just simmer on the back burner for now.
Hopefully when I write it I will manage not to give my main characters Intense And Familiar Daddy Issues.
