Last night I went for a walk (to go to the grocery store to get chicken for today's group dinner), and was just struck, amazed, floored by the beauty in everything around me.  The floodwater reflecting the lights of the city at night, the richness of color in the sky, the fractal branching of leafless trees... even the red paint on a sportscar, or the curve of the water tower, the most banal things, all of them seemed to hold in them more beauty than I could stand.  The world was full of it, and I was and still am grateful for being able to see it.  I have been truly blessed, truly gifted, and ... indulged so deeply, I guess is what I want to say.  I am so, so very lucky to have what I have, and to be surrounded in such stunning beauty in even the simplest of things, and to be given the luxury of enjoying it.
