868 words of fiction later, I am feeling on-track, accomplished, and much better than I did earlier in the day.  Of course, there are still six things left to do on my to-do list, but I think I can get them done one an hour and still have a decent night's sleep tonight.  A good daily wordcount is a panacea, more encouraging and motivating even than caffeine.
