I have the beginning, I have the end, I know the shape of the middle. Roughly 3 notebook pages to go to finish the first draft, and then some knitting around the edges and polish here and there to make it fit tighter. Any more beta volunteers?
Anyway, I expect to have the first draft done before the weekend is out, and the final draft before December turns up.
The Yuletide story may take a little longer, because what seemed at first to me to be a whimsical request is in fact the result of a deep and geeky abiding interest of my recipient, so they deserve a story that's more than just whimsically tossed off. Still, if I can keep it short I'll have it done by, say, the 10th, and can be on to Pinch-Hitting.
