If you are unclear on why the new release makes people unhappy:
1) The removal of comment subjects and changes to the comment navigation buttons make it much more difficult to track extensive comment threads.
2) The new way icon selection for comments is handled is glitchy, posting with the default icon often even when another is selected; and the fact that all the icon images load when you go to select means slow connections and icon-heavy accounts now make icon selection much more onerous than before.
3) I have heard other complaints, numerous in number and sinister in nature, about the new comment interface, but I do not remember them all.
