So I haven't ridden the bus lately...

... except this last week.  And that means there's this thing I just noticed this week.

See, a couple years ago the city of Fargo forced the greyhound bus depot to move from a highly convenient location in downtown fargo, right next to the city bus terminal on one side and the bridge over to Moorhead on the other.  They forced it to move 45 blocks to a totally inconvenient place for people without cars to get to.

At the time, this made me angry.

One of the primary arguments in favor of this move, made by some gentleman working for the city whose name I don't recall, was that the building was an eyesore.  I believe he even discussed wanting to rezone it in passing.  Despite the fact that there was another, busier, messier bus station right next to it -- the local bus central terminal -- *this* building was the eyesore.  Despite the Adult Bookstore (and Toy & Video store) right across the street, the shabby storefronts, the condemned apartment building a block away... *this* building was the eyesore.

And that made me angry.

Since that was about the time Megan got a car, I have not been using public transit much since then.  But I used it today, and as I was walking past the old Greyhound station, I noted that the "eyesore" building was almost unchanged.

Now, it has the words Fargo Municipal Courthouse on the side of it.

And that, you see, makes me very angry.
