A weird but productive weekend.
Jan. 17th, 2010 02:54 pmI got a page in on the new Hellion Prince prologue, and of course then promptly got stuck.
I also got 11+ pages (roughly 2500-3000) words in on The Bullet Train, the short story I didn't know I was going to write, my probable submission for this contest. Near-future hard-sf focused on space travel. A departure from my usual dark fantasy groove, and possibly a pastiche of a Heinlein juvenile to a certain degree. Because it's a contest entry I don't want to go into detail in a public post, but if you'd like to hear more (and maybe beta a draft or two), let me know and I'll throw something up on a filter.
Still committed to a higher frequency of blogging. But that may mean a lot of word count posts like this, with one or two random thoughts thrown in.
